REFLEXOLOGY

Introduction

This is a VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust) 8 day course with return days for assessments and an exam.

The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology (QCF) is a preparation for work qualification that has been designed to prepare you for a career as a reflexologist. This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice and business practice for complementary therapies. Furthermore, you will learn about anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies.

You will also develop your understanding and practical skills to competently provide reflexology services. This is a practitioner level qualification. 2 Units in this qualification have been mapped to the relevant NOS (where applicable). This qualification is accredited on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). This qualification is approved and supported by Skills for Health, the sector skills council for health.

Pre-requisites

There is now a mandatory additional unit VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Complementary Therapies and Sports Massage (IP2AA)which has to be taken before any practical exams can be. This is an online exam with knowledge gained from prior reading from a booklet and powerpoints in your own time which is meant to take an extra 4 learning hours.

Course Content

The VTCT level 3 Diploma in Reflexology (QCF) is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a reflexologist.

This qualification is designed to support you to gain employment as a reflexologist as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.

This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a reflexologist including the mandatory units covering the following:

  • UV31268 - Principles and practice of complementary therapies
  • UV31267 - Business practice for complementary therapies
  • UV31299 - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies
  • UV31302 - Provide reflexology for complementary therapies

Through-out this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to use reflexology techniques for relaxation and to promote self-healing for your clients. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

Case Studies and exams

You will need to complete and record treatments in the form of case studies and sit 2 multiple choice exam papers.

The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills to a high level of occupational ability to enable you to perform your own salon services and gain insurance with your certificate.

Course costs will be £1199 plus registration fees. Comprehensive training materials provided and full tutor support throughout the course. Small groups for one to one tuition.
